When does dating become a relationship?

How long do you generally date before you make it a relationship? How do you make it a relationship? What do you do different when you are dating someone, but not in a relationship? Feel free to state any thoughts about both dating and relationships.

1. Well....a relationship to me is when you both meet the families, you are committed to each other,spend more time with each other, respect each other and have each others back. You Look ahead to the future and being with each other. Sometimes relationships pan out...sometimes they don't.
