Dating for really shy guys?

I'm really shy about talking to people I don't know, especially girls. I don't really talk a lot anyway, but I'm not ugly or anything. I always here about having to be the "alpha male" in a group to attract women, and I was just wondering if there are any other ways.

The best way is to just be yourself that in itself is attractive, i was with my previous boyfriend for five years who was an alpha male type and i was sooo unhappy. my new boyfriend attracted me by being himself, funny and careing and this seems to be the best way... dont try and fit into any stereotypes because u need to find someone who is attrated to u for u.... this is the only way.... hope this helps xxx
