I am very lonely and am looking for any online friendship circles or free dating sites I am missing. HELP!?

I would love to just have some friends to chat with as I have really only one friend. My kids are grown with their own lives and no time for me. I enjoy the computer, am not much into joining clubs, etc and think this would be a good way to make some connections. Is there a dating or friendship site that I could communicate on that could help my loneliness? I hate the holidays anyway! This could help get me through them.
