Why do tall guys date short girls?

Why don't tall guys date tall girls? I.e. my bf has primarily dated short girls. [I wish I were taller.....(I'm 5'5"/5'6" and my boyfriend is 6'2"/6'3".)]

1. well usually it just looks better or that`s just how it normally is like the guy is taller than the girl..
2. That's clearly a fallacy. When I'm with my family I feel tall because they're all short. When I'm with friends I feel short, because they're taller. It's not actually a preference, but a self referencing comparison. Besides all that should not matter, it's compatibility that counts.
3. i dont know, i wish i did. i'm 5'3"/5'4" and my ex bf was 6'5" !! i really really dont know. maybe they like the feeling of overpowering the other. since they tower over, they get a sense of control..idk
4. being tall is considered masculine that is why short guys have a bad time getting girls supermodels are tall tho, and they have no problem
5. Cause if the girl is shorter than you, you feel stronger, and more able to protect her, plus it just looks better. And if they're small, compared to you, it just makes them look cute.
6. I don't know, but please don't be mad at the tall ones for dating the short women like me. i love my tall men!!! :)
7. They tend to like the idea of them being able to pick you up easily. Plus, when the girls are shorter, they can rest their head on a guy's chest easier without hurting him. I wish I were taller too. I'm 5'5 and my boyfriend is 6'3 so I know your pain :) If it bugs you that much, wear high heels to make yourself feel taller.
8. i have that same question. im 5'8-5'9 and no one wants to date me. be thankful you are short. also, be thankful with what God has given you. Everyone is perfect and unique in their own way. Live it and go with what you have. Enjoy life and don't worry about apperance
9. If your 6'2" boyfriend dated a 6'5" woman ........... he wouldn't be considered tall......................she would be.
10. I was at this May Dance and this poor girl was literally hangin on for dear life because he bf is around 6'3 and shes like 5'2.

14. I dunno.. I'm 5'8ish, and my ex was 6'1. I don't think he cared about height, I don't think most guys care (unless the girl's taller) but even then I've seen taller girls with shorter guys.

16. it has nothing 2 do with height. they just end up 2gether cuz they're interested in one another. if we only dated ppl our own height we would be turning down lots of others along the way. i dated a guy that was at least 6 inches taller than me when i was younger so he looked like he was about 5 years older than me...lol.

19. I don't really think it's something they plan out, it's just a prefrence. My son is short, and so is his girlfriend, but he dated before with a girl that was alot taller than he is.
