do most women avoid dating short guys?

I knew the answer before I even posted the question. I just wanted to see what other people had to say. I am a 35 year old man who has dealt with this issue most of my life. I'm 5'1". I had many girlfriends from 5th grade to my senior year in high school. I was shy and a little insecure about my height, but I was still able to get girlfriends. After graduation, the attitude of women seemed to drastically change towards me. Unlike early childhood puppy love and high school dating, women now seemed to focus more on looks. The ancient and primal female instinct of natural selection seemed to 'kick in' after high school. I cannot say ALL, but most women do not want to date a guy who has smaller hands than her, smaller feet than her and weighs less than her. Women want a guy they can show off to her friends and family. First impressions are very critical, and being short seems to be one of the most undesirable qualities in a man; and its the very first thing people notice when you meet.

5. Depends. Some people are really hung on up their bf or gf looking perfect to others. Those people would avoid it because appearance is everything. But those who are more interested in the person rather than a status symbol, not so much. And those types of people are really the ones you want to have a relationship with anyhow. The first type are way to plastic!

8. Why should they if they do not find that ht business embarrasing? If they find ht embarrasing, then they should also be particular when it comes to age, for many women would prefer to have partners/ friends much younger to them in age , though the obvious reason is well understood here.
9. ya...its one of my pet peeves... but my boyfriend at this moment [who i love very dearly :D] is like close to being shorter than me since he's like at his point where his growth spurt stops...and well i have a long way to go....lol we're the same height...i always stay away from that...lol ive been drinking extra coffee to stun my growth...
10. well...women just avoid dating guys SHORTER than they are...but not necessarily short compared to other guys. we just do not like to be seen dating a guy shorter than we are..it doesn't look good most of us have this princple that the guy you will be with is taller than you.
